Yes, you can visit the Tesla showroom in Osborne Park and take one out for a test drive, but if you want to spend more time (like a whole day or a long weekend) driving a Tesla to really get a good feel for what they’re like, how amazing Autopilot is and see whether or not a Tesla might fit into your lifestyle, check out availability HERE to see when you can rent one.
The safest! Literally, the safest car in the world. Followed by the Model S and then the Model X.

There is an air filter to be replaced after 2 years. Yep, that’s it! Brakes last a VERY long time (up to 200,000km) because the car uses regenerative braking to slow down and put energy back into the battery. No oil, no oil filters, no spark plugs, no timing belts. Simple.
Autopilot is amazing (driving itself, with your help/supervision).
Voice commands work well: Play {artist name}, navigate home, I’m cold, turn on windshield wipers, take me home.
The car has its own data connection, so streaming Spotify or podcasts is pretty cool.
Caraoke, games, Netflix, YouTube, Dog Mode, Emissions (farting noises the kids will love), the list goes on and on!
The official NEDC figure is 490km, however 350-400km is what you should expect in the real world. That means you could go from Mandurah to Perth and back to Mandurah TWICE, or from Perth to Margaret River without needing a charge.
This is the SR which goes 0-100 in 5.6 seconds and the top speed is 225km/h.
The Performance model goes 0-100 in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 261km/h.
This 2021 Tesla Model 3 SR cost just over $75k including on-road costs and you can buy one PLUS get 1500km of free Supercharging here.
ABSOLUTELY! There are chargers everywhere with more being installed on a regular basis. Download the ‘Plugshare’ app for Android or iOS to see where they all are, and drive confidently knowing you’ll never be too far away from a charger if you need one.
In fact, people have driven around Australia in Teslas as there are charging options all the way, plus WA is spending $21m to build a charging network to make it easy to get around the entire state.
To get an idea about just how many chargers there are in your area, head to https://www.plugshare.com/
That depends on the charge rate. Destination chargers are ~11kW so would take 4-5 hours to charge, while others charge at up to 175kW, meaning it would only take ~15-20 minutes.
From my solar panels at home, it’s free! Public chargers are also often free (e.g. at shopping centres and wineries), while some charge $0.40-$0.60 per kW/h, which means it’d cost ~$20-$25 if you were pretty low.
